Hana โ€” Japanese Tutor

๐ŸŒธ

ใฏ (wa) โ€” topic marker

ใฏ (wa) marks the topic of your sentence โ€” the thing you're talking about. Think of it as saying 'as forโ€ฆ' or 'speaking ofโ€ฆ' It doesn't mean 'is' by itself โ€” it just points a spotlight at one word. Fun fact: it's written with the hiragana ใฏ but pronounced 'wa' only as a particle!
