Comparisons and Preference

ใใใ (yori) โ than
ใใ (yori) means 'than' and comes after the thing being compared against. 'ใในใใ้ใ' = 'faster than a bus.' Notice the order is opposite to English โ the loser comes first with ใใ, then the winner. Japanese comparisons put the standard first, the result second!
