Connecting Sentences

Hana — Japanese Tutor

そして (soshite) — and then

そして connects two sentences in time order — 'and then.' It goes at the start of the second sentence, like a bridge. Eat breakfast. そして、go to school. It's the simplest sentence connector and perfect for telling stories or describing your daily routine in order!

Example

朝ごはんを食べます。そして学校へ行きます。

あさごはんをたべます。そしてがっこうへいきます。

I eat breakfast, and then I go to school.
